CarboNext acts as a certified project developer of the REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) projects as a strategy to create the supply of voluntary carbon credits. In return, CarboNext receives both a monetary payment and a share of the voluntary carbon credits these projects generate. To transfer these credits to the interested parties in the market, CarboNext sells the originated credits to enterprises, as well as to other brokers and directly to consumers through their online sales platform. By acting as a marketplace, CarboNext bridges landowners from preserved areas of the Amazon with companies and consumers in major industrialized and intense carbon-emitting cities in Brazil and in the world.
